Find BLS and World Bank statistics. Upstream direct: USD 0.005–0.05/request catalog estimate; actual native USD meter /total_deduction_dollars. Overflow: not published (unknown; not zero). Disabled draft retail: 1 USD per native USD of reported usage; not USD 1/call. Native meter is not the TREG invoice; cache/overflow reconciliation is required. Usage limits: All six native request fields are required. Restricted to BLS and World Bank sources, short responses and 1-10 results. max_price is fixed at 5; current Valyu documentation defines it as a whole-request budget parameter, not a USD amount. The catalog cost range is not a guarantee of this account's cost. Billing uses total_deduction_dollars. The source list is an allowlist, not a guarantee that every listed source is searched. Preserve sources and dates. This is data retrieval, not investment advice. Supplier limits: No numeric self-serve rate limit is published. 429 responses may include Retry-After; successful live calls returned no rate headers. Shared-key calls are paced at a conservative policy rate of five per second. Catalog prices and provider response fields are not proof of actual TREG charges. Reconcile X-Treg-Cost-Micro with call IDs and usage records; caching and overflow may change the charge. Before enabling, verify business results and charges for this account, plus X-Treg-Meta customer tagging and usage-by-tag reconciliation. Testnet verification results for this definition are recorded below. Testnet verification (2026-11-04): business result passed; OpenAny debit USD 0.005 matched the configured retail policy for this request. This is one observed call, not a guarantee for future requests. The paired example is captured from testnet; long excerpts may be shortened. Actual TREG upstream debit was not verified.

Common questions

How are Valyu APIs priced?

Each endpoint publishes its own rate and billing unit. Compare the selected implementation and request-specific conditions; a collection starting price is not a quote for every request.

How do I authenticate Valyu requests?

Use your OpenAny API key from a secure environment variable for supported account-based calls. Never paste secrets into prompts, documentation examples or public logs.

Are all implementations interchangeable?

No. Read each endpoint request schema, response examples and limitations before execution. Different suppliers may expose different fields and behavior; approve the budget before a paid call.
