MCP INTEGRATION
OpenAny MCP Server
Bring OpenAny resources into your agent.
Search the web, retrieve data and combine tools in one workflow. Keep the agent and main model you already use.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
One connection. Different kinds of work.
Start with a task, not another integration project.
A question becomes a source list.
Collect references before your agent writes the answer.
Find useful sources on portable coffee makers. Return the source title, URL and a short relevance note.Read the guide
| Source | What to check |

| Independent reviews | Testing methods and limitations |
| Retail listings | Current availability and price |
Illustrative output, not a live MCP result. Tool schemas were inspected; paid execution was not tested.
QUICK SETUP
Connect your agent.
Add the server, inspect its tools, then authorize a bounded task.
https://mcp.openany.si/mcpAdd OpenAny to Cursor
Merge this entry into your personal ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Keep existing servers. This configuration enables discovery only.
mcp.json { "mcpServers": { "openany": { "url": "https://mcp.openany.si/mcp" } } }Keep credentials in your client.
Tool calls use OpenAny gateway credentials. Configure them in your client secure settings before paid execution; the discovery configuration above does not set up authentication. Never paste an API key into chat or commit it to a repository.
Get API keyVerify discovery before spending.
Confirm that OpenAny tools appear in your client. Listing tools does not prove that credentials, balance or a paid request work.
Trouble connecting?
- Server not found
- Use the full /mcp endpoint, check your network and confirm that remote HTTP is supported.
- Authentication failed
- Check the gateway credential and client configuration. Do not retry with a key in the URL or prompt.
- Insufficient balance
- Review Credits in Dashboard and explicitly approve any top-up. Adding a server does not fund an account.
- A call timed out
- Keep the original request reference and check its status before repeating a potentially paid operation.
USAGE AND CONTROL
Your tools. Your spending limits.
One shared balance
Supported account-based calls draw from your OpenAny balance. Inspect the selected resource price and billing unit.
Approve before a paid call
Review the tools, scope and total budget. Keep client tool approvals enabled. Use max_cost_usd when the selected tool supports it.
Check the result and usage
Review actual output and available request references. Confirm recorded charges in Dashboard rather than treating a copied task as execution.
Pay for supported resource calls. No subscription. Payment and network fees follow the current quote. Payments and fees
Common questions
What is the OpenAny MCP Server?
It exposes OpenAny tools to compatible agents over remote HTTP. Your agent can discover tool schemas and request supported resources. The current tool list, not the whole Market catalog, determines what is available through MCP.
Do I need to change my main model?
No. MCP adds tools to the agent you already use. Changing its main model uses a separate model-provider configuration.
Do I need an API key?
Tool discovery is publicly available. Resource calls use your OpenAny gateway credentials and follow gateway authentication and billing. Configure credentials securely in your client; do not put them in a prompt. The discovery examples here do not configure paid-call authentication.
Does copying a configuration spend credits?
No. Copying a configuration does not execute a resource call. Review the current price and authorize a spending limit before your agent calls a paid tool.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude in the browser?
A client must support this remote HTTP service and its authentication requirements. This page provides discovery recipes for Cursor and Claude Code, not a verified OAuth connector or a guarantee of browser-client support.
How is MCP different from the CLI and Skills?
MCP exposes callable tools to compatible clients. The CLI runs commands in an authorized terminal. Skills provide instructions and workflows inside your agent. Choose the path your client supports; a skill is not automatically an MCP tool.
How do I disconnect?
Disable or remove the OpenAny server in your client. Revoke any associated API key in Dashboard if you no longer want it to authorize calls. Check the status of already submitted requests separately.
Start with one small task.
Connect your agent, check the tools and stay in control of every paid call.
